About Me
I have been researching my family since 1998. As a typical Canadian, I am descended from an interesting mix of Scottish, Irish, English, Dutch and German ancestors. Currently my oldest ancestor on my mother’s side is Joost Bijlmeckers who was born about 1600 in what is now the province of Limburg, Netherlands. On my father’s side is Edward Barlowe born about 1629 in Sheffield, Yorkshire. I am currently a Master’s student in Computer Science at the University of British Columbia.
